Terms & conditions

The agreement between you and MattBet.

Last updated 11 August 2026

Draft — not yet legally reviewed

These terms describe how the platform behaves and are accurate on that basis, but they have not been drafted or checked by a lawyer and do not yet reflect the conditions of any specific licence. They should be reviewed before any client relies on them.

1Who can hold an account

Accounts are offered by invitation and are held by named individuals. You must be 18 or over and able to enter a binding contract in the place you are betting from.

You may not hold more than one account, bet on behalf of anyone else, or let anyone else use yours. Betting from a jurisdiction where doing so is unlawful is your responsibility, not ours.

2Identity and verification

We may require identity documents before accepting bets, processing a withdrawal, or at any point afterwards. Accounts that cannot be verified will be closed and any balance returned to source.

3Accounts and currency

An account is denominated in a single currency and cannot be changed once opened. You may hold accounts in more than one currency; they are separate, with separate balances and separate limits.

Balances are never combined across currencies, and a balance in one currency does not fund a bet in another. Converting between your own accounts requires an agreed rate and is recorded as its own transaction.

4Funds and settlement

Bets are placed against funds already on the account. No credit is extended, and a bet that would exceed the available balance is declined rather than accepted and owed.

Money moves outside the platform. The ledger records what is held and what is owed to you; it is not a payment service and holds no client funds itself.

5Bets

A bet exists once accepted and confirmed. Requests that have not been accepted create no obligation on either side, and a quoted price lapses when its stated validity expires.

Settlement follows the betting rules, which form part of these terms.

6Records

Our records of bets, prices and account movements are the definitive record. They are append-only: entries are never edited or deleted, and corrections are made by a reversing entry that leaves the original visible.

7Closing an account

You may close your account at any time once open bets are settled and any balance is squared. We may close or restrict an account at our discretion, including where we believe betting is causing harm.

8Responsible gambling

We will apply deposit limits, loss limits, breaks and self-exclusion on request. A self-exclusion cannot be reversed early. See safer gambling.

9Privacy

We collect what we need to run the account and meet our legal obligations, and keep it for as long as those obligations require. We do not sell it.

10Changes

These terms may change. Material changes will be notified before they take effect, and bets already accepted are settled under the rules in force when they were struck.
